Dear Families,

Our Moving EDGEucation sessions were a great success! Students from K-6 enjoyed time in the gym on Wednesday filled with movement and fun! Teachers will continue to integrate this in their classrooms.

Picture Retakes-Students not satisfied with their first picture may choose to have it taken again during the afternoon of Fri. Nov. 2.

Lates –The number of students arriving after 8:50 a. m. has increased. Morning routines are very important to start the day off right. The time before 8:50 a. m. and opening exercises is a time when students socialize with each other and teachers talk about what is happening that day. It helps to prepare them for the day ahead. Students arriving after 8:52 a. m. will need to be signed in by a parent at the office and get a late slip. These late arrivals will be tracked on report cards.

Hallowe’en-Wed. Oct. 31st is Halloween. Students can dress in a costume, wear orange and black or just wear every day clothes.  Students should wear their costume to school in the morning (with makeup etc. done) and may continue to wear it all day if they choose.

Bullying/Rough Play/Conflict-All classes have discussed the differences between rough play, conflict and bullying over this past week, at a level appropriate for each age group. Unfortunately, conflict is part of everyday life and is very different than bullying. Teachers have used a chart to discuss these differences with students in their class meetings.
