John Darlings’ 2016 Jump Rope Fundraising campaign kicked-off with an amazing performance from the Student Demo Skipping Team. The Demo Team wowed the school with their amazing tricks and athletic abilities. The day of our school wide event was a busy day, with students of all grades and abilities skipping in and outside.

All of the online and cash donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation have been tabulated!

Our community raised $5245.75 from pledges supporting students!

Congratulations to Mrs. Pollock’s grade 5 class at John Darling P.S.!

The students were studying the Human Body. The class developed Public Service Announcements to teach others about how to build strong bones. The class posted their work online in the Power 4 Bones website and submitted the class’ favourite announcement to their student competition. Mrs. Pollock’s grade 5 class submission was one of the top 8 winners! Our students won a prize of a $500 donation to a foundation of their choice! To make this achievement even more special, the class chose to donate the prize to our Jump Rope for Heart campaign and make their efforts in learning about the Human Body another public service announcement: this one is about Citizenship and Caring!

With the $500 donation from Mrs Pollack’s grade 5 class. We are pleased to announce that John Darling P.S.’s grand total donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation is $5745.75!!
